‘Requiem for Valentine’
A sculptural performance presented during the solo exhibition of @ethanlk.world at Studio Takeover on 13 February 2026. Compelling the absurdity of a sexy body into the intimacy of touch, borrowing elements from Cupid’s mythology and the feathers of wedding doves…

It’s the final day of @ethanlk.world ’s show ‘Mouth Wide Open for Valentine’ at Studio Takeover.
LK’s work is directly inspired by his own experience with love and loneliness in the gay community. Through performance and his sculptural activation of meat, animals and sharp knives he explores objectification and violence that shapes homo love online and in person.
Thank you Ethan for your dedication and enthusiasm to create your fleshy vision over the course of your residency – you are not afraid of putting in the hard work. Ever resourceful, you find solutions, learn from mistakes and, most importantly, have fun. Proud! 💋

It’s the final days of ‘Mouth Wide Open for Valentine’ an enchanting solo-show by @ethanlk.world . On 13 February, LK stripped down to jeans and covered himself in lube, asking the audience to adorn his bare flesh in love notes. Alongside the performance, LK presented visual works made from styrofoam, vinyl, cured meat, and live animals. These fab shots by @lilyrosevogt penetrate into the thick of it all – take a look!

An incredible opening of ‘Mouth Wide Open for
Valentine’ this past Friday. An evening defined by a sensational performance by our resident artist @ethanlk.world , paired with work inspired by the meat market, by intimacy, by desire, by pain and pleasure. Flesh abound.

♥️MEET THE ARTIST♥️
Ethan Lieutet Khnafo (2001) is an artist and writer searching for a deeper understanding of the human condition. LK employs symbolism, zoomorphic analogy and the analysis of romantic comedies to examine love within our nuclear family-oriented society, the inescapable passage of time, and forms of communal grief.
LK’s work often incorporates animal remains, dead insects, and food into sculptures, and uses performance to position his own body as a site of endurance and affective stress. Framed as social experiments, his works are consistently marked by humor and irony. And all of these actions, both physical and mental, ultimately fall into a desperate attempt to counter the fear of his own death, and to answer the question…
Will I ever find true love?
For his exhibition – ‘Mouth Wide Open for Valentine’ – LK centers his focus on the homosexual struggle to find love in a hyper-sexualized, digital landscape, where the touch of the flesh dominates over a romantic bond.

It’s the final days of @oogzorg ’s show ‘everything but, the spectacle’ at Studio Takeover. A successful two-month residency for the young artist as he researched and produced work to present in his first solo-exhibition, as well as editing and designing an accompanying publication.
We’ve asked Özgür to sit for an interview, to discuss his forever inspiration found in fashion, and the spectacle that he captures through screenshots, as well as his experience as resident artist at Studio Takeover. Thank you Özgür, for your dedication and unbound creativity. So proud of the work you accomplished in a short few months!
