On 9 November 1989, the Berlin Wall fell.
This Sunday, 9 November 2025, marks 36 years since that day. It is also exactly ten years since the art project KAPITALISTISCHER REALISMUS was unveiled by the German curator René Block and Germany’s ambassador Axel Berg. The work, acquired by Trondheim Municipality, stands prominently in front of Trondheim Kunstmuseum in the gentrified Gråmølna district. Over the years, the many layers of the project have only grown more relevant. Visible walls have been built—along with tariff walls, social walls, and cultural walls.
For the anniversary, the artwork has been restored, and soon the six original Berlin Wall segments will receive new “family members.” Two Czech hedgehogs produced at Jeff Koons’ metal workshop in Thuringia, former East Germany, will complete the project both visually and conceptually.

LOVE BOMBING is an ambiguous term with many layers. It can describe a charged imbalance between generosity and influence, between genuine presence and strategic control. But In this specific context, the term’s ambiguity opens up space for a new kind of discourse — where oppositions are transformed into new possibilities.
The project LOVES BOMBING therefore invites Bodø’s strategic power actors — including the Armed Forces and Avinor — to collaborate on a reversed act of war. THE PROJECT becomes a symbolic and optimistic gesture — not psychological manipulation or destruction. On May 27th, 1940, the German Luftwaffe bombed Bodø into silence.
Exactly 85 years later, Studio Ramberg unveiled a visionary collaboration — LOVE BOMBING — a live action painting performance that will transform the city’s former airport into a monumental artwork.
When the new airport opens in 2029, the old the old runway will become a canvas, the jets will become paintbrushes and the bombs will be filled with paint. The result will become a free space — an artwork and a vast playground for all of its citizens.
