A central element of the branding and corporate design by Studio Oeding for Destillerie Waalem is the illustration work by Florian Schommer, rendered in the style of the world-famous Delft tiles. Direct ceramic printing on the front of the bottle conveys the tactile feeling of the tile, while a label laminated on the inside of the bottle creates a distinctive 3D visual effect.

Studio Oeding’s design for Destillerie Waalem transforms the iconic Delft blue tiles into the brand’s visual identity. These white tiles with blue hand-painted motifs were brought to Föhr by seafarers as early as the 17th century, symbolizing contemporary style and prosperity.
