Bangudae Petroglyph Ring
울산 반구대 암각화에서 영감을 받아 제작한 Bangudae Petroglyph Ring입니다.
반구대 암각화에 새겨진 고래와 거북, 동물의 흔적들과 선사시대의 기록들을 현대적인 조형 언어로 풀어 반지 안에 담아냈습니다.
수천 년의 시간을 품은 풍화된 돌의 거친 질감과 암각화의 디테일을 손으로 하나씩 직접 조각하여 완성했습니다.
반지의 안쪽에는 암각화 속 일부 문양에서 영감을 받은 조각을 새겨 넣어, 오래된 서사와 상징을 손끝 가까이에서 느낄 수 있도록 제작했습니다.
반구대 암각화는 선사시대 사람들의 삶과 자연에 대한 시선, 그리고 바다를 향한 염원이 담긴 한국의 대표적인 유산입니다.특히 고래와 사냥 장면, 배와 동물의 형상들은 인간이 남긴 가장 오래된 기록 중 하나로, 당시 사람들의 삶과 믿음, 자연과 공존하던 감각을 보여주고 있습니다.
오래전 사람들이 풍요와 안녕을 바라며 돌 위에 기록을 남겼듯,반구대 암각화 반지 또한 오늘을 살아가는 우리의 평안과 행운을 바라는 마음을 담아 제작했습니다.
오래된 조각의 흔적을 오늘의 조각으로 간직해보시길 바랍니다.

하얀 꿈에서 시작된 조각
이 조각은 아주 희미한 꿈에서 시작되었다.
밤하늘의 별, 바람과 돌, 그리고 그 사이를 살아가는 우리까지 이 세계를 이루는 모든 존재들에 대한 생각에서 출발한 작업이다.
보이지 않지만 분명히 존재하는 흐름과 연결,
그리고 그 안에서 살아가는 것들에 대한
조용한 기도와 바람을 담고자 했다.
작은 브로치 위에는 나선형으로 조각된 페리도트를 세팅해 확장되는 우주의 흐름과 작은 돌 안에 담긴 큰 세계의 흔적을 표현했다.

A Piece Born from a Pale Dream
This piece began from a faint, almost fleeting dream.
It emerged from thoughts of everything that makes up this world the stars in the night sky, the wind, the stones, and us, living among them.
It reflects an unseen yet undeniable connection,a quiet wish and prayer for all living thingsthat exist within this vast world.
On the small brooch,a spiraling peridot is carefully set.
This spiral symbolizes the expanding flow of the universe, capturing traces of a greater cosmos within a single stone.

The Sotdae is a traditional Korean symbol created to wish for peace and abundance.
A bird is placed atop a tall pole connecting heaven and earth, carrying people’s hopes and wishes toward the sky.
The Sotdae Bookholder translates this form of heartfelt longing into a small object.
Resting quietly between the pages of a book, it becomes a talisman that watches over the reader’s time.
