Here are some pictures of the new renovations! We knocked down the wall between our two previous rooms almost doubling the size of our main live room. We also added on a brand new “green room” off to the side as well as installed full air conditioning / heat in all rooms. Absolutely stoked with the way the live room is sounding now. Bigger/fuller/cleaner/more open. All the good sound words... and not to mention much more comfortable!

A few months ago this beautiful 1960 Neumann U60 arrived at the studio. This is the prototype to the U67 and less than 50 were made. This is #23. In the roughly 4 months it’s been at the studio I’ve only packed it away once as it finds its way onto almost every session. Drum room, vocals, acoustic guitar the list goes on and on… The depth and 3D character this brings to tracks is absolutely wonderful.

Last week I said goodbye to my best friend.
Billy was such an amazing life companion and the absolute perfect studio dog. He brought an incredibly calming presence to even the most stressful sessions.
Billy was quite large for a greyhound and it feels like he’s left a hole in my heart as big as him.
I’ll miss having you around my best buddy 💔
It’s been an incredible month and this long holiday weekend is the first time in almost 4 weeks that I’m able to pack away mics, roll up leads, and get the studio reset.

We’ve just added a new isolation room behind the studio which I’m calling “the alley”. While this room will never sound like the Sistine chapel, it’s a great space to isolate an amp while live tracking or lock away your backup singer that insists on playing the tambourine.

It’s been an epic few days having @beastwarsband in the studio with some absolutely fantastic engineering by @jamesgoldsmith . Never have I heard such roaring tones come out of the studio monitors. Surprisingly only managed to blow up one speaker cab 🤯😜
