Mycelium – Weaving Invisible Threads of Artistic Collaboration.
This year, we welcome 9 artists from Oman, Algeria, Lebanon, Morocco, Egypt, Saudi Arabia/Yemen, and Jordan to co-create and explore new artistic connections.

What happens when artists are given time, space, and silence in the vastness of the desert?
In the breathtaking landscape of Wadi Rum, twenty artists came together to be part of the unique residency @remal.lab and to pause, reflect, and reconnect—with their practice, with each other, and with the land itself. Removed from the noise of daily life, the desert became more than a backdrop; it became a collaborator.
“Culture is a creative refuge” captures this journey—originally published in Metropolis M (@metropolism_mag ) by Jinxiao Zhou, this impact story is a reminder that sometimes the most powerful creative breakthroughs happen not in studios or cities but under open skies, around shared meals, and in moments of collective stillness.
