We are going to be making gorgeous music to create a new recording of Lean on Me to raise money for the fantastic charity Citizens Advice Exeter for the vital work they do. Watching our students grow is what it’s all about 🙌 F has made incredible progress in his songwriting and music production during his time with us. From developing his ideas to refining his sound, his journey is exactly why we’re so passionate about creating clear progression and pathways for every young person who walks through our doors. As a result of his hard work and dedication, F has now worked towards earning his own writing room within our space. He’s been using Logic Pro alongside a range of instruments to create and record his own demos, before taking them into Studio 54 to collaborate with his peers and bring his tracks to life. This is what it’s all about—creativity, ownership, and real-world experience. Here he is putting his own sign on the space… a proper full-circle moment! Great work, F 👏

What a week it’s been at CMG Exeter! Earlier this week, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Tess and the D’Urbervilles into Studio 54, where they recorded a very special track as part of a birthday gift for national treasure Sir David Attenborough! Being part of something so unique and meaningful was a real privilege. We also loved hosting Councillor Tess Read at our Coombe Street centre, where she got to see our sessions in full swing— music, creativity, energy everywhere! She also checked out the incredible graffiti our students created alongside Sam from @aerosolartuk … and it’s safe to say, it’s looking epic. Yesterday our students sat in a West End theatre watching Wicked - a story about finding your voice and defying expectations. Today we’re celebrating being shortlisted for Outstanding Contribution to the Community. That feels connected. At CMG, everything we do is project-based and industry-focused. Our young songwriters and producers are creating original music inside our state-of-the-art studios, working exactly the way professionals do. This term, our students are working to a real brief from a local coffee shop — writing and producing music specifically for their brand and space.
