TALES OF ā I DOā - ASA ONYEMA and ONYEMA
As we step into 2026, weāre honored to capture love in its most beautiful and meaningful form.
This traditional wedding photoshoot is a celebration of culture, connection and love. During the shoot we experienced their love, through laughter, stolen glances, lingering smiles, and the way they kept finding each other in every frame.
Congratulations to the lovely couple.

Mummy ānā Me
We love this mother and daughter photos, Thereās nothing quite like a motherās love-Everlasting and Timeless.
At Studio 49, our favorite type of family photography has to be, a mother and daughter photoshoot.
If every mother told the story of how much she loves her child, we would run out of time.
Motherhood carries so many quiet moments, the gentle care, the constant presence, and the everyday showing up.
This Motherās Day, we chose to give back by capturing love in its most natural form. Moments like these remind us that the simplest connections are often the most powerful.
Giving back is a beautiful thing⦠and so is a motherās love.

*****
Being a mom, to me, means living with my heart outside of my body. It means carrying responsibility that never fully turns off even in moments meant for rest.
It means thinking ahead constantly: the swim bag, the towel, the snacks, the schedule, the emotional temperature of everyone.
Motherhood has made care instinctive. I donāt clock out from it. I donāt know how to stop noticing what needs to be done because loving my child is woven into the smallest details of how I move through the world.
But Iām also learning that two things can be true at once.
Motherhood is beautiful. Motherhood is exhausting.
It is deeply fulfilling. It is deeply consuming.
It gives life meaning in ways nothing else can. It can also make a woman disappear inside everyone elseās needs.
Being a mom means experiencing love in its purest form, the kind that makes your chest ache when your child smiles, sleeps peacefully, reaches for you, or simply exists near you.
But it also means carrying invisible labor that often goes unnoticed because people only see the visible tasks, not the mental load.
Two things can be true: I love being needed. And sometimes I am tired of always being needed.
I love showing up for my child. And sometimes I wish someone would show up for me with the same consistency.
I love the softness of motherhood. And I grieve how often we are expected to give endlessly while asking for very little in return.
The pros of motherhood are immeasurable:
unconditional love,
purpose,
connection,
legacy,
laughter,
tiny moments that become the center of your world,
watching a human grow because of your care.
But the cons are quiet and harder to admit:
emotional depletion,
guilt,
overstimulation,
losing pieces of yourself,
feeling responsible for everything,
carrying the mental and emotional weight of a household even when youāre tired.
And maybe the biggest con is this: sometimes everyone becomes so accustomed to your strength that they forget you need gentleness too.
But the biggest pro? Even on the hardest days, being loved by my children and loving them remains grounding, life-altering, soul-expanding experience.
