Call for application for the BFW Concept Competition SS27! To kick off the new season, the BFW Concept Competition will be held once again in the categories BERLIN CONTEMPORARY and STUDIO2RETAIL to support emerging fashion talents, and to continue strengthening the innovation and growth potential of the fashion industry and the stationary retail. Fashion designers and labels from Germany and beyond have the chance to win up to €25,000 and showcase their collections at Berlin Fashion Week SS27 from July 2 to July 5, 2026. The 19 most innovative show and presentation concepts will be awarded in the category Berlin Contemporary, including up to 5 international brands with at least one brand from an African country. In the @studio2retail category, the six most convincing B2C event concepts will be awarded €5,000 each, making Berlin Fashion Week even more accessible to the public. Once more, the sixth prize money will be provided by @berlinersparkasse . Starting this season, Berlin Fashion Week is sharpening its focus on sustainability. Following a successful pilot phase, the "Sustainability Requirements" will officially take full effect this July. In the future, brands must meet these defined minimum standards to be included in the official schedule. Take your chance and apply until March 23, 2026!
