Union City came together to celebrate Black History Month through art, music, and community at the annual Black History Month Art Showcase held at Studio 11 Gallery. 🎨🎶
From vibrant paintings and a powerful live painting reveal to soulful guitar music and handcrafted goods from local vendors, the afternoon honored Black culture, history, and creative expression. The showcase highlighted local artists and small Black-owned businesses while creating space for reflection, pride, and connection—continuing a tradition that inspires the next generation through art and storytelling.

✌️We are hosting Community Forum #3, Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm at the Ruggieri Senior Center, 33997 Alvarado Niles Rd., Union City, CA 94587. The same information presented on January 10, 2026 Community Forum will be shared.
🗳️Between Monday, January 12, 2026 – Friday, February 13, 2026, we invite the community to help us prioritize the five themes that were raised by the community, they are included in the Union City BART Mural Project Community Feedback Report, see page 25. You can prioritize the themes (1-5, from 1st choice to 5th choice) through the following:
