3 months of prep. 3 hours to sell out. 6,000 old phones collected - and national spotlight on why recycling matters. 💛 Couldn’t be prouder of this Recupel/AB campaign.
Pommelien Thijs is playing an exclusive concert at AB for fans who recycle at least 3 old phones - a tangible way to raise awareness about the value hiding in our drawers. 📱♻️ We’ve already collected 6,000 old phones, and we keep collecting until May 8!
It’s wild to think about the real, measurable impact of this campaign. This is such a great example of how artists use their influence for good & Pommelien is someone who leads by example.
Beyond proud of the team that made this happen, and of the hundreds of young people who are actively recycling. What a way to celebrate Earth Day & 4 years of being self-employed. 🥹

SPOOR ART FESTIVAL has been on display in Ichtegem, Belgium, for over a week now. With ‘ART 62’, a part of the public space is transformed into an open-air art hall. Nine artists claim a spot along the Green 62, the bike lane along the old railway between Torhout and Ostend. Until 31 August, you can find my work there too.
“’Letters to a mother’ is an audio installation portraying an intimate correspondence from a child to a parent. The listener gets the feeling they are hearing something that would normally stay indoors. In doing so, Nowe forces the audience into the role of eavesdropper. The question arises as to why we unapologetically condemn other people’s families while struggling to address our own family issues.”
Curators: Cédric Cuvereau and Francis Vanhee 🤍
been working for… a city with ambitious plans to become climate-friendly, a cultural organization that curates a festival on mental health, a wonderful family business that aims to guide people towards a fulfilling life/education/career, a concert venue that organizes talks on topics such as the importance of Black female representation in the music industry, and so many other projects and clients that trust me enough to do important things with and for them. thank u all.

@kuleuven and @abconcerts study societal challenges and seek solutions through the lens of music and nightlife culture. Next up: a panel discussion about cancel culture in the music industry.
Cancel culture might well be the most emotionally charged concept of recent years. According to some, it’s the official term for the culture in which famous figures are boycotted due to a wrong act or statement. Others strongly question the very existence of the phenomenon.
I’ve had lots of fun putting together a panel for this talk and am extremely curious to watch the discussion unfold.
Don’t miss out on this one. Admission is free, but you need to register in advance.
Where? AB Club
When? Monday 29 November
This is Renate. Renate is old but magnificent. She was our home and our office for about two weeks. She took us to the Czech Republic, Austria and Slovenia. She made me realize I really don’t need much in order to do my job. Good headphones, a cozy seat and warm socks will do. Oh, and a friend like @ele_pee who’s willing to download heavy files and upload them to your drive in times of need. Love you bb. 🧚🏽♀️
Happy and excited to be working with and for @shavedmonkeyagency
Djapo and Fost Plus joined forces to create an educational offering aimed at students in secondary education on how to ♻️ sustainably treat waste and other materials. 'Ik zie wat jij niet ziet' ('I see what you don't see') provides students with the necessary tools to make sustainable choices, now and in the future.
Djapo and Fost Plus asked Shaved Monkey Agency to tell this story, so they started digging into their own 🗑 waste bins to make this campaign a reality. They created campaign visuals, a video, PR campaign, and a social media strategy to reach as many teachers as possible. I was asked to write some copy for both the on- and offline media.
It feels good to help improve the status quo.
i’ve been writing some words, doing some concert promotion and online advertising for my beloved AB these past few weeks. it’s lovely as ever. ☁️
