Wrapping up this season with the final performance of The Last Night of the World, before stepping into a new season featuring three exciting (international) productions.
This piece was a new creation commissioned by the @staatstheater_augsburg . It was not an easy process: the work combined a wide range of musical ideas from technical, dramaturgical, and artistic perspectives.
Through an open dialogue within our team, we shaped an inspiring production around the question:
"What would you do if tonight were the last night of the world?"
I am deeply grateful to @staatstheater_augsburg and @andrebuecker or feeling the urgency to program new work, to musical director @basvanyperen , designer @studio.sidf and @pascalsei dramaturg @tamarayasminquick , and of course to the outstanding singers who brought this performance to life.
