📷 @bruno_destombes ————————————————————————————— “Fragments de Changement” A collaboration between Nika Keys x Ankhone, supported by the City of Montréal, L’Original Gallery, Caisse Desjardins du Plateau–Mont-Royal, Montreal Cowork, and La Cité des Peintres. This project introduces an emerging approach—combining muralism with sculptural installation made from repurposed waste plastics, in collaboration with Olivier Bonnard. The work engages in a dialogue between material, sustainability, and transformation, asking how urban surfaces can evolve when reconsidered through an ecological lens. Fragments of change: material, gesture, memory—an exploration of the worlds we build, consume, and reshape.

Stand between the southern and eastern walls of WINS Thrift Store to be fully encapsulated in Nicole Boyce’s world of shapes and colours. “Passage” consists of many contemplative abstract layered forms that move through the architectural landscape they call home. You may find yourself reflected back to you in this work. Maybe you’ll blink and see the mural in a whole different light. @nicoleboyce_art ’s work excites the imagination and invites constant reinterpretation. She is a multidisciplinary artist whose paintings emerge from a process-based practice rooted in iteration. By forming visual puzzles of shadow, textures, and illusions, her practice test notions of “clarity” and “knowing” and ask viewers to reorient their expectations. You can find “Passage” at Beltline Wins Thrift Store, 1005 11 Ave SW. 📸 by @jbvisualz_

✨ Sharing one of last summer’s highlights (2024). On Laurier West and St-Urbain, @ankh_one and I created two walls that became a dialogue between our styles—textures layered with metaphors of time, balance, and transformation. Side by side, we pushed into new territory, and this mural is the result of that alchemy. This neighbourhood holds cherished memories for us both, and spending time here allowed us to connect deeply with the community. We were honoured to leave something lasting in the space—something that reflects both history and renewal. 📍 Laurier West & St-Urbain 🎨 Collaboration with Ankone, 2024 📷 @jondurand 🙏 @laurierouest

In the fall of 2023, Ankone and I transformed the corner of Papineau and Fleury in Montreal with a vibrant mural that celebrates our love for nature. We aimed to create a colourful, uplifting piece that brings joy to passersby throughout the seasons. This mural stands as a gateway to Promenade Fleury, inviting everyone to step into a world of colour. Introducing my latest body of work: repurposing waste plastics into mosaic installations. Over the past year, I’ve dedicated myself to this project, and I’m thrilled to unveil the first phase of this endeavour. My aim is to create large-scale mosaics using these presses waste plastic tiles, sparking conversations about consumer culture and women’s labor.
