When I first started doing blonding services and highlights, I was always getting difficult cases. It was really complicated, and I was new to the industry with no mentor to guide me because they were all on maternity leave. I had to figure things out on my own and do things I had never really done before, and I felt so insecure.
Imagine being put to work with clients who trust you to do their hair, using your own hands, while you have no real clue what to do. Yes, I had learned the basics, but in reality, working in a hair salon isn’t that easy.
Now I can say that the toughest experiences I had in my early days with blonding and balayage have become some of my greatest strengths as a hairstylist.
