In the Foyer Gallery:
The Gardener, the Midwife and the Sailor – the debut exhibition by long-time creative collaborators Sharon Hamilton, Nerissa Lees, and Meg Nielsen.

during Peel Open Studios, and you will receive a free ticket from each artist/collective to enter the draw! That is very easy to do, as all these artists/collectives are located at the Edenvale Heritage Precinct in beautiful Pinjarra.
You simply fill out the ticket and drop it in the entry box over at The Exchange Hotel, where you can see more art by members of Murray Arts and Crafts in their Autumn Exhibition in The Doctor's Lounge.
The winner will be drawn at 5pm on Sunday 11th May!

I've been inspired lately in the studio with these beautiful rainy days 🌧 A brand new screenprint is in the works! A whopping 16 individual layers, keep your eyes peeled for my latest piece 😍 Are you as excited as I am?
Oh, what a night!
I attended the opening of the Alcoa Pinjarra Rotary Art Exhibition on Friday night and discovered, to my absolute delight, that I had won the Best Local Artist Award with my 'Silver Princess' limited edition screen print!
The judges comment has given me a much needed confidence boost:
"Your highly developed skills of printmaking are demonstrated by the clearly defined colour and placement of colour. especially in the precision of the detail of the flowers. The colours are utterly life-like: we are expecting to hear bees buzzing in them! Yours is an example of how good artists teach their viewers how to see the world about them."
The icing on the cake was that both of the screen prints that I entered into the exhibition were sold on the opening night! Both pieces sold to members of the local community, one of whom purchased her first piece of original artwork. How wonderful that the local community supports the local artists.
Many thanks to Alcoa @alcoa_australia , Shire of Murray @shireofmurray , and to the committee and members of Pinjarra Rotary Club, who put in an enormous effort to present this wonderful exhibition on an annual basis.
