Dear friends and followers,
After receiving feedback from trusted colleagues and re-assessing the nature of the “People’s Artist” competition we have decided that the pay-to-win feature and the data-mining aspect of the competition do not align with our values as artists and members of the punk community. For this reason, Winston will be withdrawing from the competition.
For those who are remaining in the competition we wish you all good luck. For those of you who voted for Winston, we send many thanks and gratitude. We assure you that we did not buy votes or encourage anyone else to do so. Pay-to-play (or Pay-to-win) is definitely not our bag.
And to all, thank you so much for understanding. We do our very best to support the punk and art community in a genuine grass-roots way and we apologize for having completely misunderstood the base intent of this contest. We try our best to only participate in projects that are 100% on the level.
We officially withdraw.
