It’s happening 🤎 I’m still very much here working in the background with my STUDIO.C clients too, it’s just social and events needed to take a little backseat so far this year 😌

We need real voices to shape the future 👏 Tell me I’m not the only one totally zoning out at the AI-written posts - especially from established founders who should have so much to say?! 👀 You can’t fake experience and emotion - humans need real stories told by real people to form connections, not a robotic and refined version of reality that distorts our thinking. 💁🏻‍♀️ If you’re a female founder or female-led brand that still values developing narrative and words the original way - my diary is open for May-Aug brand development and copywriting projects. 🤎

Follow your soul 🤎 it’s not woo woo, it’s always guiding you. We’re midway through Feb, and I am already feeling more content professionally than I have in the past two years - and the only difference is where I’m pouring my energy. Everything is energy. And when you shift your own, you better believe everything around you shifts too.

There is a science behind our love of stories ✨️ In Jonathan Gottschall’s book, The Storytelling Animal: How Stories Make Us Human, he writes, "We are, as a species, addicted to story. Even when the body goes to sleep, the mind stays up all night, telling itself stories." And it’s in our makeup as humans to respond to stories on an emotional level. In fact, when we encounter a story we feel a connection to, our brain actually places us within it as a character. I like to think about songs as an example: how their lyrics can affect us so deeply that we often apply them to our own situations. (And yes, in case you're wondering, I was that girl who had lyrics as my msn status based on my mood 😅) And here's how stories shape your brand >>

Then & now 🤎 I’ve loved seeing people sharing the ten year throwback and couldn’t resist doing my own. This business has been part of my life for nearly nine years and it’s evolved and evolved again as I’ve entered new chapters of my life. No journey is linear and the lessons keep on coming. I found creating this post incredibly therapeutic and would encourage you to do the same even if you don’t share it, because it really is a reflection of how far you’ve come and the obstacles you’ve achieved. At the age of 35, I feel like I finally know myself and this has bought me a new found confidence and determination that over the last few years I felt would never come. I’m still figuring out the mama business juggle (I don’t think that ever really stops as every phase is something new to navigate) and my mental health is certainly not cured but I do have a better handle on it than I did. Forever is now and so I really just want to be able to look back again in ten years and think wow, I really did trust my intuition, embrace the present, and make my dreams a reality. If you made it this far, here’s to you and choosing to move in your own way too 🥰 Charlotte x

Copywriting philosophy on-repeat 💫 Through a combination of voice and words, brand copywriting thoughtfully gives meaning to your messages, soul to your stories and breathes life into your products and services. In a world where so many are taking shortcuts (ahem, AI), every word counts, and it’s the brands that value authenticity and a human touch that stand out, connect and have longevity. And so from skincare brands to floral artists and interior designers, when your business needs words, I’ve got you covered with (10+ years experience crafting) strategic and bespoke brand copywriting. This might look like: Websites / Packaging copy / Advertising / Point of sale / Blogs / Product descriptions / Email marketing / Editorial / Press releases / Printed materials You might have a one-time project type-thing or be looking for some external support that feels like an extension of your in-house team. Either way, I’d love to chat and help you find the words to effortlessly get the word out about your business and in front of the people who need to read them, all whilst you focus on your forte. 🤎 brand copywriter, brand copywriting, brand communications, shropshire, female business owners, female founders, female creatives, female entrepreneurs, independent brands, small business uk

Happy New Year 🤎 No resolutions here but lots of reflection, intention, and a commitment to keep trusting the timing. If your inbox and insta feed is anything like mine, then right now you’ll be flooded with advice on ‘how to make this your best year yet’ - and whilst I’m all for embracing a positive mindset and setting goals, let’s be honest, it can feel a little overwhelming. The first week of a New Year feels like a forced beginning - one that if we don’t make the most of means we’ve somehow missed out - and that’s simply not true. It’s a pressure that none of us need and one I have put myself under many January’s past. And so this year, I’m simply channelling the sentiment of a New Year, seeing 2026 as a gentle beginning to what is, in essence, twelve beautiful blank months of possibility. ✨ I hope you’ll join me in this 2026 state of mind and take a slower pace this month to embrace you and whatever you need. Sending you all health and happiness this year, I can’t wait to see how it unfolds for us all. 🫶🏼 Charlotte x

For those of you that have been with me since the beginning of my self-employed journey, almost nine years now, it’s always been my intention to be honest about business, and so to keep things personal not polished, this is how I’m really feeling as I switch off this festive season 🤎 2025 has tested me in more ways than I expected. It’s been my quietest year in a long time and like many other creatives, I’ve felt the impact of the current economic climate and the impact of AI. On more than one occasion, I’ve been asked to reduce my rates, been questioned about my value and I also unexpectedly parted ways with one of my long term clients. There have been moments I’ve questioned if I have it in me to keep doing this, because when set backs happen - especially after this long running my own business, you do begin to question your worth and place in the industry. I’ve felt creatively frustrated and unsure what my next steps look like. And I think it’s only natural to feel the fear and stick to what feels comfortable. Especially when behind the scenes there’s things going on that I have absolutely no control of. And I do feel under pressure a lot of the time (all from myself) because I want to make sure I have some sort of balance and be setting the best example I can for my daughter, whilst also being a supportive and present mama, wife and friend. And I want to enjoy my work - this has always come before any number, because when I’m out of alignment, it sets everything else out of balance too. I really have been unsure whether or not to write this post, but it’s important to me to be someone who doesn’t paint an ‘all is rosy all of the time’ picture, because not only is that impossible, it’s not a true reflection of who I am, someone who always wears her heart on her sleeve. Don’t get me wrong, there have been some wonderful highs this year, like finding the confidence to share my poetry both online and out loud, gathering together with so many of you beautiful gals at the events, and creating new relationships for projects that feel completely effortless. Cont. in the comments 🤎

Brand clarity (or any clarity for that matter) begins when you create space ☁️ In a world that tells us fast is the only way to move forward and that we need to constantly be on the go without coming up for air to achieve, it's easy to feel out of alignment. In reality, it’s the moments you take to PAUSE that matter most 🤎 When you actually exhale, that’s when you evolve, and this is why I am hosting my first-ever brand development workshop in the New Year - a setting where you can reconnect with your work through soulful reflection and expert brand strategy. You don’t need to come in knowing exactly how your year will look. This is a space to reset your brand foundations, so you can make room for what comes next, from a place of presence, not pressure. You’ll gather with a small group of female business owners at the wonderful @swanhillstudios in Shrewsbury for an intimate session focused on developing your brand and vision. With just a handful of seats available, comment SPACE to book your spot and begin your year realigning your business with who and where you are now. Doors close on the 18th of December 💫 #shropshirebusiness #femalebusinessowners #femalefounded #branddevelopment #brandcommunication #femalefoundercollective #womeninbusinessuk
