We cherish when clients bring treasured inspirations to the table—it’s the spark of true collaboration.
These lovely clients have always loved the work of the renowned Italian artist and designer Piero Fornasetti. So we incorporated these iconic Fornasetti plates into the design as wall art in their dining room. We love incorporating elements of whimsy, delight, into our designs. These plates, like so much of Fornasetti’s work, offer a window into other worlds, where only the imagination is the limit to what is possible.
All plates sourced from Italy by STUDIO TABLEAU.

When your home has great bones to begin with, like these stunning original terrazzo terrace tiles installed in the early 1960s, you know you have something special to work with.
We were incredibly lucky to work on the interior updates for this beautiful home, hopefully delivering as much care and attention to detail as you see in this tiling detail.

This project was all about introducing warmth and materiality to the home. We made very view structural changes but instead focused on tactile materials..such as this natural oak timber flooring throughout the living and circulation spaces. We selected these gorgeous light oak floor boards from @tonguengrooveau to complement the light blues of the central pool, bringing a relaxed but sophisticated resort feel to the space.
This was a big moment for both STUDIO TABLEAU and our clients: seeing the stunning Carré Bleu rug by @reuber_henning installed in their living room alongside the iconic Rio Low Table by Charlotte Perriand.
We chose the Carré Bleu for its layered, undulating shades of teal, turquoise, and soft blues, subtly echoing the tones of the outdoor pool and garden and the gentle ripple of water; the reflections of the light dancing on the surface of the pool.
This exquisite work by artist @agnetaekholm is now the centre piece of this dining room. Visible from the kitchen, dining and living, it truly elevates the space, seemingly responding to the shifting atmosphere and light of home.
We worked closely with Agneta and @flinderslanegallery to commission this special piece. Calming, illusive, immersive, transportive, even spiritual, this is ‘Lucenreach’, an original commission for some very dear clients.
A deliciously soft and textural palette for a Rumpus room in one of our residential projects.

A custom curved green Agra rug from Armadillo paired with vintage brass side tables from Table & Sill and dark oak timber floors from Tongue & Groove. All sourced for our client by yours truly.
This newly completed commission by our talented Agneta Ekholm was created for a client of @studio._tableau
Commissioned as the luminous centrepiece above the dining banquette, Lucenreach unfolds in vertical drifts — its layered translucence echoing folds of fabric and the shifting movement of light.
Lemon yellow gathers and lifts, offering warmth and clarity without insistence, while shades of titanium white, unbleached titanium, Turner’s yellow, and deep blue fold alongside — softening and anchoring the composition. Viewed from the entry deck, kitchen or dining area, the painting responds to shifting light and the viewer’s movement — a dynamic, meditative presence.
Lucenreach — a poetic fusion of lucent (light-filled, clear) and reach (extension, connection) — embodies the work’s essence: luminous, expansive, and resonant.
At Flinders Lane Gallery, we love working collaboratively with interior designers and clients to create bespoke artworks that elevate and personalise each space.
