A Portrait of a Lady; Lisa, 2026
Earlier on, Lisa had sent an idea to me; her simply seated, dressed in a brown draped outfit, looking as peaceful and soft as she always wanted to be seen. And the moment I saw it, I knew it was something I wanted to work with. Something worth creating around.
It’s been a while since I created images that truly spoke to me in depth; the kind that feel quiet, intentional, and honest all at once. This shoot reminded me why I fell in love with portraiture in the first place.
With this, the goal was never to do too much. No extra noise. No overcomplication. Just simplicity, presence, emotion, and beautiful light. An editorial approach rooted in softness and subtlety.
One thing about Lisa; she trusted me completely. Trusted my direction, my eye, and the process. And because of that, we were able to create images that feel effortless yet deeply expressive.
Sometimes the strongest photographs aren’t the loudest ones. Sometimes they simply sit with you.
