We’re thrilled to be in Sweden aboard our new floating classroom, MV Polar Athena, with our partners from @innu_nation_labrador and the @museumofnature , and our good friend Ambassador Rob Sinclair, from Canada’s Embassy to Sweden. A unique platform for collaboration and capacity building, this multi-purpose research vessel will be sailing up the Labrador coast this summer during the 4th annual Innu Nation Uinipeku Expedition. We can’t wait to welcome Innu Nation youth, Elders, Guardians, and community members as we continue our Indigenous-led research partnership!

Ice is the foundation of life for Inuit communities, but it's disappearing fast. That's why Lynda Brown, SOI's Alumni Team Lead, recently spoke at @unesco 's Glaciers and Water Day in Paris, sharing the critical human perspective on cryosphere loss and emphasizing the power of Indigenous knowledge and youth leadership in the Arctic.
