We’ve been on walkabouts all day but I’ll tell you about that later. A late birthday present trip from her indoors/Michele seeing as I was busy last week. COLIN JERWOOD would have been 64 years of age today. You know how some people have an impact on your life more than others. Colin was one of those people. We argued, we laughed and I was lucky to share the stage with him as a member of CONFLICT. Today I would have been taking the piss out of him on his birthday calling him an old bastard. BACK ON THE ROAD/Today I find myself heading toward the North West of our green and pleasant land for the first of two gigs in places I haven’t played in for quite some time. First port of call is a gig tonight in Birkenhead with 999, and then tomorrow I will be meeting up with the boys from POUNDAFLESH to play our first gig with the new lineup in STOCKPORT. I’ve been raking up some mileage lately what with rehearsals/album recordings up North etc, and then will be no let up as the immediate future is set to be very busy indeed. 999/AND SO IT BEGINS. Yesterday and today sees the process of getting the bands NEW ALBUM off the ground. All of the 15 NEW SONGS have been written, and so these sessions plus the same again next week sees us in the rehearsal room getting everything together in order to get them down on record. We’re up near DURHAM at “ROCKING HORSE” studios, and for now, I can tell you that our new album will be out on SECRET RECORDS, who some of you will remember from back in the day, in a few months.
