I’m delighted to be back at MEPA following the success of FAME and BRING IT ON.
For this iconic title, I wanted to create something completely fresh. We’ve staged the show in traverse, so the audience is fully immersed in the action and choreography. Dance is such a strength at MEPA, and it felt like the perfect opportunity to reimagine both the choreographic styles and how they’re presented. I’ve worked closely on the numbers myself, alongside some of the wonderful creatives I regularly collaborate with on tours and productions. We’ve also refreshed the musical elements and there are some wonderful vocal performances to look forward too. Visually the show blends bubblegum pop culture with a stylised glimpse of 1950s rock n roll rebellion fused with modern day energy.

Grease is the Word - 2 weeks in rehearsal and Act One is almost done. Thanks to our high energy cast and fabulous choreography team for the last few weeks. This 360 degrees version is a new take on this iconic pop culture classic! #director #creative #concept #grease
