We played some previously unreleased material from his alias Dominatrix, his band Death Comet Crew, as well as his work with Neuromancer author William Gibson, material from his post-industrial band Black Rain, a brand new track from his XIYrd collaboration with former bandmate Michael Diekmann, plus a soundtrack Michael made under his File 10 alias for Gretchen Bender's Dumping Core video installation. Futants hack CBGB’S 1978 - 1979 The short lived trio worked out their sound , played a few shows and like many, never got to the Studio to record. Why are they getting released only now in 2026 ? Because all tapes were lost when our Apartment on E 11th St. burned and fireman came bashing, sloshing through. Only when Joshua Moore and Shaun DTFA could find our 3 song demo and CBGB'S recordings in Jim Fouratt's archive not long ago did i come to know anything actually existed ( ! ). So , cheers to those guys and to Martin Fischer and Mike Finley. So many groups, units and collaborations in those times did not leave much or any trace ... We were lucky. I did miss the Futants over those iyears and well, Thursday we finished the audio work matching levels on the 2 archival electro rock sets.
