Light Feature /
A postcard from @scout.wanaka our Interior of the Year Supreme Award-winning project.
This bedroom is designed as a place of retreat- tranquil in tone yet rich in texture. A carefully considered skylight introduces shifting patterns of light throughout the day with moments of stillness that evolve from morning through to night.
By evening the space transforms again, opening to the sky above for a more intimate connection to its surroundings.

Bathroom Detail /
A considered moment within the Bellevue Hill House. A subtle wall curve and shift in tile gently envelop the concrete plinth basin, softening the geometry and drawing focus to form and material.
A quiet interplay of texture, tone, and restraint.

Dental Dreaming /
A glimpse into the design development phase- one of our favourite parts of the process.
Currently working on a playful character-filled dental space, where colour leads and the brief invites a sense of lightness and joy. Exploring joinery through 3D allows us to test, refine and bring personality into every detail before it’s built.
A project full of energy and one we’re really enjoying shaping!
In Progress /
In Vaucluse Residence the design scheme embraces the character of the existing architecture, letting its story guide our interventions. Heritage like details are carefully preserved and celebrated, while contemporary design gestures introduce texture and subtle modernity. The result is a space that feels renewed and elegantly balanced between past and present.

International Women’s Day /
A moment to reflect on the female faces behind the brand. These photos of Sophie, Steph and Amira were taken years apart in front of very different brick walls. Since 2017 a lot has changed- the studio has grown, the projects have become bigger, the team has expanded…and yes, we’ve all aged a little along the way 🙊
The name STRUTT was conceived from the word ‘strut’- a fundamental layer of support in construction and also a way of walking with confidence. From the beginning, it felt like a fitting metaphor for the kind of presence we hoped to bring into the industry: feminine strength, nurturing support, all with a quiet confidence.
So today, and every day, we celebrate the women who help lead and shape Strutt, and the many women across our industry who continue to inspire the work we do! And of course we’re equally grateful for the incredible men in our team and wider network who support and strengthen Strutt Studios (and us women) every day!
Kitchen Detail /
“Our vision was to create a home that feels cohesive, calm and tactile across levels.” – Amira, Project Director
The kitchen at Bellevue Hill is anchored by a bold stone island. Its generous, chunky form is softened by the warmth and natural texture of the material, creating a strong presence that never feels overpowering.
The rangehood and splashback finished in the same stone, reinforces the cohesion of the space. This is a kitchen designed to be both highly functional and visually compelling.

In Development /
A milestone moment for the studio! We’re thrilled to be in the design development phase of @acero Sydney’s gym fitout, exploring materials and refining the vision from the ground up.
A recent showroom visit had us immersed in tiles and textures carefully selecting finishes that will shape the atmosphere and experience of the space. More to come and an incredibly exciting project already.
Small space design /
Clever design makes every corner count. In this compact apartment, integrated joinery seamlessly frames the fireplace, TV, and bookshelf display- bringing function, style, and warmth together in one thoughtful composition.
In the Press /
We’re beyond honoured to see our Bellevue Hill House featured in this month’s issue of @houseandgarden ! A heartfelt thank you to Jackie for capturing the spirit of the project so beautifully, and to the entire H&G team for this feature.
This home was shaped by a truly shared project team vision and by clients who were deeply engaged, creatively inspired and wholeheartedly committed to the design journey. Their involvement influenced every layer of the beautiful outcome, and seeing it celebrated in print is incredibly special.
Now available on shelves!
