You’ll be surprised at how quickly our bodies “forget” these simple movement patterns! This is the ONE thing we all need to keep doing as we get older - sit on the floor and practice getting up. Absolutely no need to do it from a cross-legged position or in one step. Take your time. Use support if you need it. Do this regularly!!! I know I’m not your standard #fitnessinfluencer with colorful spandex workout gear. (Yes, I’m in my pjs) But I believe in short, quick workouts with functional movement exercises (in comfy clothes!) done consistently so that I can be strong and enjoy the success of all my hard work even when I’m in my 80’s #lifegoals. Don’t get me wrong - I do love a sexy workout set, and I enjoy training hard, but these little exercises that I do every single day are the ones that will benefit me in the long run! Special thanks to AI for helping me visualize all the dreams I have for how I look / what I’m doing when I’m 80. I am so glad to be able to provide a space where my community can bring their concerns and we can find solutions together!! That being said, this brought up such an important issue!!! Dynamic balance should be the focus as we grow older.
