Today I looked back on where I started vs today. I’m so grateful to all the experiences and people I’ve met along the way. “Success” doesn’t happen over night. It takes years of dedication. But the funny thing about success is that I’ll never feel successful. There is always room to do better. To me success is a journey not a destination.

Borders can be subtle or extravagant- depending on the purpose and focus of the overall design. Simple borders/walls delineate spaces and can be utilized to hide things so they don't interfere with the outdoor living ambiance . But simple doesn't have to be boring. Functional doesn't have to compromise on design or interfere with the overall landscape. Some clients prefer more elaborate and and artistic borders, allowing them to have their own stand out moment. Either way, we love creating borders, fences, gates and privacy screens for our clients.

This gorgeous house is tucked away in the Auburn hills. Providing a landscape design for a home on a hillside can pose some challenges. However, we love the way this design came together. We used the hillside and the changes in elevation to help us create some beautiful pathways and hardscape. The sunken entertainment space makes you really feel like you are immersed in those hills. By using lighting in a creative way, we highlighted the changes in the elevations, and illuminated key elements. We also took some practical issues into consideration, like the garbage area- and created a beautiful structure to hide and blend it into the design. Planting was kept minimal with lots of negative space to preserve the natural-ness of the Auburn Hills.
