Had time today to put in some practice. Developed this illustration for a pretty girl I know, and turned it to a tattoo. Yes, I do tattoos, draw, paint, graffiti, sculpt, origami, paper mâché, rap, dance, and build tings. #getcreative #gettattooed

Chris had been planning a full-on proposal for months.
He worked closely with @thestrology on the timing (Hire an astrologer for important dates, I promise you won’t be disappointed.), and even though he ended up proposing earlier than planned, he still gave us the gift of an intricately-planned proposal, captured by my closest friends @ryannealcordwell (photos) and @shaunte (video), during sunset and moonrise at Papago. 🏜️
Mind you, he also planned our wedding. But more on that later. 💘

Introducing the future First Gentleman of @ghosttownworld . 🤭💍
Chris and I have thoroughly enjoyed almost two months of quiet engagement. We’ve sunk in deeper with one another and continued our respective healing journeys with a sense of security I’ve never experienced before or ever saw between my parents.
I’m the emotionally closed off and avoidant one of us. And yet, I’ve watched myself go from spending months to pry open one box to gleefully ripping vaulted doors of my soul off the handle to show this man every part of me.
And Chris? Where do I begin?
In 2020, I wrote down a list of what I was looking for in a partner. (I still have that journal and will find it!) That list came to life in the form of Chris a year later. He is rock steady. He thrives off the growth that comes with pushing yourself to your limits. He’s emotional and emotionally intelligent. His connectivity to his family/roots deeply inspires (and heals) me. He’s SO funny. His dedication to being prepared for when the world inevitably falls apart brings me life. He’s teaching me how to fight, literally and figuratively.
I will spend a lifetime singing his praises.
We are not perfect people, but we are without a doubt perfect for each other.
Sharing this in person at SCA Expo was a memorable experience. No matter how distant I’ve felt from it at times, the coffee industry is family to me. It IS home. And the way y’all welcomed Chris into it will be cherished by us forever. You’ll never truly know how much it meant to us.
We’re getting ready to elope next month in our favorite place. 🏜️🌵 A non-exhaustive registry is in my bio—we’re in a season of clearing out, so more “things” isn’t what we need at the moment. We will take some trash bins, a few coffee tools (since Chris is a full-blown barista now), and dinner + drinks the week we get married! 💍
