Founded in 1979 and based in Williamsburg since 2003, @streb_extreme_action , Inc. is all about big movement, real impact, and pushing the body to its limits in a way that feels more like stunts than traditional dance. Their home at 51 North 1st Street, @streb_lab works as a performance venue, training space, and school all in one.
Caught Into Thin Air at SLAM last night and it was incredibly fun and inspiring, especially if you’ve never seen their work live. The program kicked off on April 10 and runs through May 3, so there’s still time to catch it if you’re around.
They also run ongoing classes for both kids and adults, covering everything from PopAction to trampoline and flying trapeze, so it’s not just something you watch, it’s something you can actually try if you’re up for it.
Tickets are available through their website, and this is an easy recommend if you’re looking for something different to do in NYC.

Thank you to STREB for partnering with us on such an ambitious week of PopAction, trampoline, and trapeze. You created a truly special space where we could play with gravity, simulate flight, and move in ways that challenged both body and mind.
