GET IN ME SWAMP!!
I'm gonna be so real with yall... In classic Shrek fashion, I didn't want to be ogre-ly around people. But they needed Shrek, and I guess Strapp has big enough feet to fill those dirty shoes.
After painting myself green during intermission, I walked on stage feeling unbelievably grimy and ugly (method acting asf🥸), but I had the power of my impromptu audience backup dancers on my side. I genuinely did not expect that farting and burping with @medusachaos or standing with the whole cast in a Moss merkin would be one of my sweetest memories, but here we are.
TLDR: apparently I take shrek very very seriously. One of my favorite performances I've ever done. It was an honor and spiritual experience. Come join us at the bottom of the sea on 5/22

Behind the swamp: Dragon❤️🔥🫏
For those who missed it, @maxinemaraschino and I told the tale of Dragon + Donkey through Florence and the Machine, Queen, Mr. Worldwide, and flying skirts. We tied it all together with a reveal to my hand-painted Dragon eye bra as Donkey beautifully sang "then I saw her face, now I'm a believer." It was a fiery and unhinged journey. Donkey was burning, dragon was slaying, tears were falling, and many waffles were lost.
I have very few pictures (you'll see why soon), but this creative process was truly a labor of love and the most fun I've had in a HOT minute. Life has not been the same since.
