I'm taking on more students! I've been teaching since I was a wee 15 year old, never going a year without students. It has become an essential part of my own practice, keeping the inspiration flowing, as each student challenges me to reframe and adapt. I'm proud of the frameworks I've developed, bringing together everything I've learned so far...like the clever notation and learning systems from Gary Chester and Billy Martin, who got inspiration from beautiful simple early west African notation systems (ugh western sheet music rhythm, don't get me started)...the Principles of Movement I learned from my dad, informing embodiment practice, and the adaptation of exercise parameters and teaching methods to meet students where they are, and for what they want to achieve...adapting 8 layer studio grooves to live performance...I love this stuff more than anything, and I love to help others on their journey. I used to feel like an imposter in education, having dropped out of music school. Now I feel like I have something special to offer anyone, no matter their skill level or medium. So let's play!! Hi friends, I'm proud to formally launch my new business, hilariously acronymed GACS. I've gotten pretty good at all kinds of things over the last decade, mostly from my art projects and record label @sleepycatrec , as well as my work with the family business, @polestarpilates . Sleepy Cat has been steadily growing, and while it's taking more of my time and love, it's not paying the bills yet. So many new faces at @ncartmuseum last night for the after hours series! Honored to be trusted to experiment with sound in such a beautiful space in front of so many lovely and interesting people 🤗 Sounds were made, vibes were had and WE SOLD OUT OF THE FIRST BATCH OF DELVER RADIOS! Couldn't be happier with the turnout. Special thanks to @night.owl.creations for organizing the evening, @alldayrecords for slinging vinyl and @lunchmeatvhs for repping VHS culture all evening. Thanks to @erinoliviamedia for the first photo AND filming the whole event and @zimolkaaaahhhh for the egg video. Can't wait to share the full recording on our Patreon next week once we've had a chance to edit.

@hi_delver plays @ncartmuseum in Raleigh Thursday 530-830. Free. We just did a walkthrough planning sesh with Jason, 4th member of Delver, favorite glass n light artist, and host of this fine event. We're installing a lil quadraphonic system to provide some immersive strange ambient vibes for guests perusing the permanent gallery. @alldayrecords and @lunchmeatvhs will also have booths with vinyl and vhs curiosities. Grub n drink available. Our new Delver Radios will be available for purchase. See you there!
