Custom build | Laundry | Marulan As a mum of 4, I spend a lot of time in the laundry. Believe me, the rooms that work the hardest are the ones worth designing properly. Marulan's laundry and mudroom were built around the reality of daily life with hooks at the door, bench storage underneath, and a laundry that functions as it should. Practical, considered and beautiful. Because a home should work for the family living in it. Ready to start your custom home journey? Custom build | Kitchen | Como There is something about a kitchen that gets the light right. Wide skylights, pale cabinetry and enough bench space to actually use it, Como's kitchen was designed around the way this family lives. Custom joinery, considered proportions, and a layout that makes the everyday feel effortless. This is what happens when the design starts with the people, not the palette. Tell us in the comments what your favourite part of this kitchen is * #yourforeverhome #familyhome #yourhome #yourhomemadeperfect #housedesigner #housedesign #homedesign #homesweethome #interiordesign #kitchenstyle #pavilionstyle #paviliondesign

Often in meetings with clients, we discuss their pinterest board, their inspiration, their dream home wishlist. Latley, we have been comparing pinterest boards (because obviously I have my own for our Maple build) So here it is. A few of my favorite picks from my Pinterest board! Is yours similar to mine?

Renovation | Concept stage | Cobbitty Most people don’t realise that what they actually need is a designer who can look at what’s already there and see what it could become. This project started with an existing home on a beautiful block. We worked with what was already there, keeping part of the original dwelling so the family could stay put during construction. The rest was completely transformed to make the most of the land, the outlook and the lifestyle they were building toward. Swipe to see what this house looked like before the concept 👉🏻

Living spaces | Custom home | Marulan The living and dining spaces in this home were designed around the idea that a room should feel generous without feeling empty, and the result is a home that carries its scale well. The vaulted ceiling draws your eye up to the ridge beam and back down to the limestone fireplace, which anchors the whole space. Timber floors run the length of the home, the dining table seats the whole family, and the chandelier sits comfortably in both rooms without feeling out of place. Good building design makes decisions early that you don't have to think about later, because every proportion, every ceiling height, every window placement is doing exactly what it was put there to do. #yourforeverhome #familyhome #yourhomemadeperfect #yourhome #housedesigner #housedesign #homedesign #homesweethome

Concept stage | Bowral Banksia plan used for this build is part of The Archive, and like every plan in the range, it's able to be adapted. A builder came to us with a single block and a plan to build both homes on the site himself, and we modified the Banksia to make that work, keeping everything that makes the plan function while shaping it around a brief that needed twice as much out of the one lot. If you've been looking through The Archive and wondering whether a plan can be adjusted to suit your block or your situation, the answer is almost always yes. Head to the link in our bio to explore the full range. #concept #readytobuild #yourforeverhome #familyhome #yourhome #yourhomemadeperfect #housedesigner #housedesign #thearchive #homesweethome #customhomebuilders

Concept stage | Somersby There's something about a home that has a clear front and an even better back, and this one delivers on both. The entry is warm and welcoming, with brick, white weatherboard and dark cladding coming together in a way that just feels right, and then you step through and the back opens up to a pool, a covered outdoor area and a separate guest space with nothing but open paddock beyond. It's the kind of home that makes a quiet Saturday feel like a holiday. What’s the feature you want most in your dream home? Council approvals, explained One of the most common questions we get asked is what the approval process actually looks like, and the answer depends on your block and your design. There are two paths: a CDC or a DA, and the main difference between them is time. A CDC works when everything sits within the regulations, and it’s the faster route. A DA is the path when your block has constraints or your design pushes outside the standard rules, and it goes directly through council. Knowing which one applies to you early in the process can save a lot of frustration down the track. Comment CUSTOM if you’re at the stage where these conversations are starting to feel real. #homesweethome #homedesign #housedesign #interiordesign #buildinghomes
