We had a great visit to the @stradlingcollection the other week, just up the road from us and @christmassteps_aq on Park Row. 💛💛 They have a great Bauhaus exhibition on at the moment: "Marking the 90th anniversary of the Crofton Gane Pavilion, this exhibition explores Bauhaus pioneer Marcel Breuer’s collaboration with Bristol furniture visionary Crofton Gane. Discover original Breuer designs, rare photographs, and the Pavilion model, with talks, tours, and workshops bringing Bristol’s modernist legacy to life." 💛💛 The exhibition was so interesting, seeing the connection between Bristol and Breuer. And the upper two floors of the gallery house objects from Ken Stradling's wider collection. Our curator Tanya recently visited Sally Nash, the daughter of Margaret Hine and William Newland, both makers and artists represented in the Collection.
Sally is a close and cherished friend of Ken Stradling, as well as a longstanding and loyal supporter of the Stradling Collection.

Rediscover the beauty of imperfection at The Stradling Collection with ceramic artist Jane MacFarlane. In this hands-on session, you’ll explore the philosophy and history of Kintsugi, while repairing your own ceramic bowl using traditional techniques and shimmering metallic powders.

Our wonderful work experience students with their beautiful designs.
This past semester, we welcomed six students from SGS College to complete their placements with us. They were tasked with creating merchandise for the Collection, and they did a fantastic job.
We will miss having them in the gallery and wish them every success in their future endeavours.
