âItâs powerful to have a moment each month to move beyond surface level conversations, put my phone down, and really listen. The stories shared have changed my understanding of what it means to be a New Yorker.â
Sponsored by Hinge One More Hour, an impact initiative to foster IRL connection - one hour at a time.
âIâve never shared this story beforeâ

Scenes from last nightâs first ever StoryTell Playlist Party đż
It was everything a StoryTell event is meant to feel like: a warm hug, a window into the connectedness of the human experienceâŚyet we did something a little different.
We explored the music behind our memories, sharing about moment where we had to trust ourselves, and a song that reminded us of it.
Getting to witness the lived experience of another and the music story behind it took it to a whole new level.
Now we have a playlist of memories that takes on a whole new meaning. Music is a portal to the soul and we really felt it last night đ
Wanna come to our next Playlist Party? Let us know in the comments and weâll make sure youâre the first to know đś

Stories are what help us more deeply understand the lived experience of a stranger. Stories help us feel less alone in our human experience. Stories help us challenge our beliefs and our assumptions and make room for a more abundant worldview.
Our systems wonât save us. But community will.
Join us at StoryTell, where leading with curiosity and empathy is the norm. I promise it will restore your faith in humanity, the way it did mine.
We canât wait to have you. đ

Youâre invited to Story in Sound â a new event from @storytellnyc and @soundmind_live where music, conversation, and personal storytelling meet. đś
For this one-of-a-kind gathering, weâre welcoming @umerpiracha , a Pakistani-American musician and community builder whose work weaves South Asian traditions into music that bridges cultures and neighborhoods.
The evening includes intimate conversation with Umer, small group storytelling, and collaborative music making (no experience required!)
This gathering is a special moment to immerse yourself in the stories of the artists that make up the fabric of our city, and connect to yourself and others through your own story.
We promise you donât want to miss this one đĽ°

@storytellnyc and @culturally.curious.club are teaming up for an immersive evening of personal storytelling and cultural ritual.
Combining tradition, reflection, and the shared human experience, weâll take a journey on the theme ofâŚ
Impermanence đŹď¸
Whatâs something you assumed would always be there that isnât? Tell a story about a relationship that ended but still lives in you. How have you learned to let go and accept loss? What was a time that you tried to hold onto something that was already changing? What moment in your life taught you that something or someone can be temporary and still deeply meaningful?
In addition to small group discussions and campfire-style storytelling, weâll be co-creating a sand mandala and learning about this cultural ritual as a representation of the fleeting nature of all things.
Weâll be cozying up at one of our favorite spots: @nycdrawingroom in Williamsburg.

What if we built our lives around friendship the way we build them around romance? Last night we explored platonic love, the relationships that hold us through the hard stuff, the life changes, and the versions of ourselves weâre still figuring out.
Friendship is sacred, and we chose to full send celebrate it last night. đš
đ The cherry on top: we donated over $1000 to the Minneapolis Community Aid Network. + a big thank you to @nycdrawingroom for generously supporting us in our efforts.
StoryTell is a monthly storytelling in conversation community. And YOU are ALWAYS welcome here. đЎ

Our February 17 StoryTell theme isâŚ
Platonic Love đŤś
In a society that centers romantic love at the center, where have you found your platonic relationships to be a core anchor for you in your life? What does commitment look like in your deepest friendships? Share a moment when a friend proved they were in it for the long haul. When was a time a friendship outlasted a major life change: a move, breakup, or identity shift? When have you felt âchosenâ by a friend in a way that mirrored or exceeded romantic commitment?
Letâs celebrate our deepest friend-loves together.
100% of proceeds will be donated to @communityaidnetworkmn
