Cool to pick up this original handbook for the same year as my van for £8. It will, of course, never be read but it's cool to have because my van didn't come with one.
Oh what a feeling...carpeting the ceiling. Headliner replacement done, bit of work to clean all the old foam and glue and I need to add a bit of fibreglass to strengthen up the old fiberboard. Not a bad job, a few wee creases but happy with it.
Wee table added, this will be super handy for camping and doing a bit of work in wild. Bought the leg then found a massive bamboo chopping block that worked perfectly on top.
Normal seats installed. Driving position is so much better, seat is much taller than the old car seats that were previously installed. Cabin feels cosier too. Next picture is the half way through, why did I start this moment.
Before and after. Picked up some seats from a 2007 van to replace the mazda conversion a previous owner had done. Annoying having to buy some normal seats just so I can use the van properly. The Mazda seats look kinda cool but the drivers seat is off centre and needs to be connected to the battery to work. The original wiring didn't work so I had to connect it to the leisure battery to pass the MOT. I'm getting rid of the leisure battery and the dodgy looking wiring that's been done. I plan to get a modern portable power pack to use when I'm away. The 3 seats up front will be more practical for me. The passenger seats fold flat too so perfect for loading the van up when I need to.
