🗿🌕🌱 .Sheela Na Gig
🌝.This is the Sheela Na Gig
- That I carved for my Friend @stoneofarc ~
.The Design was something I enVisioned in my Mind;
- …I had been considering doing one anyway,
so when Emma stated at the Pub one Night
that She would Love to see Me Carve a ‘Sheela Na Gig’,
I knew it was what needed to happen, and that I’d try work a Portrait of Emma into the Design.
.I wanted to reCreate the SheelaNaGig Motif into something that encapsulated the Fractalising Nature of The Womb,
So I designed one head Blooming through another Being:
Emma appearing from the Body of The Great Feminine Aspect of The World.
.I drew the MindDesign onto the Stone with the Scribe & some circular Tins, & went to work.
.Compared to The Rock Face I carved earlier in the week,
This was much more Fiddly:
but I wanted to Challenge mySelf on the second Carving.
.It took 4xDays to create,
& I’m glad I took the time on it.
- Gifted to Emma with a big Hug,
as She presented Me with some Chisels & a Hammer.
Thanks Legend.
