Huge congratulations to @thenewgroupnyc for a spectacular revival of The Adding Machine! Now extended to May 17th at The Theater of St. Clement's! So happy we were able to fabricate the massive metal shelving for the production. All that welding was super worth it for the final look! As You Like It appreciation post! Huge congrats to @folgerlibrary , designer @giseestrada7 , and the amazing creative team behind the show. It was a fabulous run! This was a huge job and the StoneDog crew knocked it out of the park. Murals galore, full deck, columns - it was the whole package. #stonedogcreates #stonedogbuiltit

News we love to hear: all shows sold out! Congrats MEAT SUIT! It's rare that we have a show that is all soft goods. This one was super special to work on, especially since we are a woman-owned shop with a few moms on crew. All of the massive blobs in various shades of pink were sewn by the fabulous @_lady_slipper . We definitely had fun stuffing these absolute units in the shop! Thanks to @rosebrandinc for their wonderful textiles and customer service as always. Go see 11 to Midnight! We were thrilled to build this brand new show! Designed by @arneldesigns . 11 to Midnight takes place during one unforgettable hour at a New Year’s Eve apartment party—somewhere in the city, where the music’s loud, the lights are soft, and time feels like it’s had a glass of champagne too. Resolutions are made (and some forgotten), feelings pop up out of nowhere, and the future? Well, let’s see what happens this time next year! Seven friends—some old, some new, all tangled up in the messy magic of friendship—come together to toast the New Year. Whether it’s 1921 or 2025, the ritual remains the same—we make a wish, promise big, and hopefully score a midnight kiss. With high-energy theatrical street-style dance and a genre-hopping soundtrack, 11 to Midnight lets movement do the talking—capturing those big, buzzy feelings that words just can’t touch. Joy. Nostalgia. That electric moment when the countdown begins. Sure, it’s a party—but beneath the confetti and countdowns, it’s also a celebration of who we are, who we’re trying to be, and the beautiful chaos of figuring it all out before the clock runs out. @11tomidnight @hideawaycircus @cost_n_mayor #stonedogcreates #stonedogbuiltit #womanownedsmallbusiness

This year's growing Nutcracker tree was built for @fairfaxballetcompany and @rsbdance in Virginia. The all golden tree with the bright presents really made a great visual impact. Hope the dancers had a lovely season! #stonedogstudios #stonedogbuiltit #stonedogcreates #womanownedsmallbusiness

Julius X ran September-October this year at @folgerlibrary . Always a great challenge to fit scenery into a very specific theater setting, especially since this one is modeled after The Globe. Set designed by @jdahmrobertson - always awesome working with you! Professional photos by Erika Nizborski More information on the play: This bold new play takes Shakespeare’s classic tragedy Julius Caesar and reworks it through the lens of the American Civil Rights Movement, focusing on the story of Civil Rights leader Malcolm X and drawing parallels between ancient Rome and 1960s Harlem. Playwright and poet Al Letson (@al_letson ), a Peabody Award-winning journalist and the host of the Reveal podcast, champions Shakespeare’s original text, amplifying it with his own verse. “In many ways, you already know the story—whether through Shakespeare or American history,” shares director Nicole Brewer , “but you’re compelled to watch it unfold again, because of how Letson remixes his own verse with excerpts from Malcolm X’s speeches and the most notable lines and scenes from Julius Caesar.” In Julius X, we see the cyclical nature of societal strife, as well as the shared human experiences of ambition, betrayal, and brotherhood. Always happy to be back at Folger! #stonedogstudios #stonedogcreates #stonedogbuiltit #womanownedsmallbusiness

In April, we were back at one of our favorite theaters to install Shakepeare's The Twelfth Night, directed by @teo.meiann and designed by @designreynoso . The scenic treatment was a lot of fun to create - water stained, old moldy concrete. The @folgerlibrary in DC is absolutely spectacular - go visit!
