We’ll start with some coffee and conversation @truststl and then head out around 11 to explore downtown St. Louis. This walk is about slowing down, noticing the details, and capturing what gives the city its character. ⚡️
Bring a camera, phone, or whatever you like to capture the moment. If you’d rather be in front of the camera, come as a model. There will be plenty of photographers ready to work with you.

Local artists and community members are taking over downtown St. Louis to revitalize it in their own creative way.🖌️🎨🌳
@stloutopia hopes to balance public art, nature and sustainable systems through community engagement for a reimagined St. Louis.
“Loutopia was always meant to be a catalyst,” founder Jayven Solomon said. “We keep talking about how we were the number one city in the country, in the world... I believe we can return there but the only way that happens is if we think outside the box.”
Their latest art exhibition, “This Must Be The Place,” is available for viewing until the end of March on the third floor of @truststl and @techartista .

Sure, this city has its issues but we’ve seen first hand how much that is changing at a grassroots level, in a few ways!
Loutopia isn’t at all the only community doing it, but we do have a couple of things coming up that you can come be part of. Come hang out in the next month and be part of the action as we work to keep the solarpunk energy strong in STL at @truststl and beyond!

This piece from ISH in the Earth 2 Loutopia art exhibit is out of this world 🌎 🪐 ✨🌌
“Astro-Visions” is a statement piece created by the artist ISH, I think his choice to depict a chaotic solar system is true to expressing the frustrations we feel with our societal systems.
The concept seems so much bigger than us. The universe, space, a violent government that makes decisions no longer acting in the interests of the people. Causing war for profit. Loss of life for financial gain.
Eventually it feels like our voices fade a bit more each day…
However, we are reminded that the atoms and elements within us are the same building blocks of those gigantic celestial bodies.
The same is true of our governing body. Feeling helpless to change our situation is an illusion. The power has BEEN and always will be the living voice of the PEOPLE who share one Earth.
We have to use our voices as artists to inspire a better future. To show a new way to a peaceful and more compassionate Earth 🌍
