Shelter animals need your voice today! The County Council is considering overriding the veto of Bill 82 which would block the shelter from holding emergency, fee-waived adoption events unless the shelter is already at a breaking point (170 dogs or 50 cats).
What does 170 dogs actually mean? It means healthy animals crammed into pop-up crates in hallways and garages!
Worse? Some council members have actually suggested the shelter euthanize animals for space instead of waiving fees to get them into homes.
Call your council member and ask them not to override the veto of Bill No. 82! Find your council member by visiting our website linked in bio!

On Monday we celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new Mid-County Public Safety Complex in Maryland Heights!
The new facility will serve as the new home for police precinct 2 as well as new headquarters for Fusion Intelligence Center, Criminal Intelligence, Regional Information and Intelligence Center (RIIC) and Property Control. In all, about 100 law enforcement employees will work out of the new public safety complex.
The new facility is named in honor of Det. Antonio Valentine, who lost his life in the line of duty.
