Today, St. John’s Preparatory School held its 116th Commencement exercises as Head of School Edward P. Hardiman, Ph.D. P’19 ’21 ’26 conferred diplomas upon 279 seniors during an outdoor ceremony held on the School’s campus.
Congratulations, Class of 2026! We can't wait to see how you continue to soar, even after your time here at St. John's Prep.

Last night, seniors and their families gathered under the Commencement Tent for the True Blue Reception. Students had their diplomas signed by Dr. Hardiman and Dr. Crowley before the evening's speaking program. The night also included the unveiling of the yearbook dedication, which was bestowed to German teacher Chris Lynch (In Memoriam).
More diploma-signing photos coming soon! Candids from True Blue can be found on SmugMug.
Where would Prep students be without their mothers! Prep seniors spent yesterday morning with their mothers and special friends at a lovely breakfast at Danversport.
The morning was filled with bright smiles and good company as we approach Saturday's Commencement Exercises! For seniors, this was a moment to reflect on the love and care shown by their mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and other maternal figures in their lives.

We are incredibly proud to share that United States Navy Commander James P. Morrison '03 of Swampscott, MA, recently assumed command of the VT-28 “Rangers,” a naval air training squadron based at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi.
“I am honored and excited to lead the Rangers of VT-28,” said Morrison. “We will double down on the mentorship of our students to build the foundation of their naval aviation careers. We are guided by the words: humility, approachability, and credibility. I feel lucky to work with an incredible group of professionals.”
As he takes the helm of the Rangers, Cmdr. Morrison embodies the commitment to excellence and service to others that the Prep strives to instill in every student. By leading with humility and focusing on mentorship, he continues to live out the values of St. John's in his service to our country.
Like father, like son! Seniors, their fathers, and special friends dusted off their Hawaiian shirts for the Father-Son Senior BBQ on Monday night. The evening was a fun chance to show appreciation for all the love and support fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, and other role models have given these soon-to-be graduates during their years at the Prep.

A huge round of applause for our talented Middle School musicians who brought the house down at the Spring Concert last night in the Mahoney Wellness Center.
From the soaring vocals of the choruses to the cinematic sweeps of our strings ensembles and the high-energy performances by the bands, it was a night to remember. Our students truly embraced this year’s theme, "Music of Stage and Screen," transporting guests from the Broadway stage to the silver screen.

With Commencement just around the corner, we're taking a look at the incredible recognition the Class of 2026 has received throughout the college admission process. Check out some impressive stats from this year's graduating class of Eagles!
We are proud to share that two St. John’s Prep alumni, Joe Jasinski ’06 and Alex Charow ’12, were ordained as transitional deacons this past Saturday at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston.
A transitional deacon is a man preparing for the priesthood who is ordained to serve–proclaiming the Gospel, assisting at the altar, and living out a ministry of charity. This is an important step on their journey toward ordination to the priesthood, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone alongside them.
Please join us in recognizing Joe and Alex, and keep them in your prayers during this special time.
