Weeks posts
You may have experienced the challenge of a big life transition, like moving to campus as a first-year student. On Giving Day, one week from today, you ensure no young person has to do it alone. As one of SJU’s priorities you can support on Giving Day, the Student Wellness Programming Fund helps students flourish with a holistic model of care. Through your gift, our wellness team provides preventative and proactive support for physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. When you make your gift between now and May 21, your impact will go twice as far. Thanks to our Giving Day champion Deron Waldock, all eligible donations will be matched up to a total of $5,000. Learn about all the areas you can support on our Giving Day website: https://heyor.ca/yZWuEo #StJeromesUniversity #UWaterlooGivingDay #GiveTodayBuildTomorrow

Two weeks from today on Giving Day, you have the opportunity to rally with the SJU and UW communities as we set up students for success. This includes students like Ethan Melo. He has felt the power of your generosity firsthand, having received a scholarship funded through our donor community. Ethan aims to become a chaplain after graduation, so he can offer consolation to those who are dying or in distress. By supporting the SJU Student Scholarship Fund on Giving Day, you open wide our doors for more young people dedicated to compassionate service. But you don’t have to wait to make your impact. From now through May 21, your gift will be matched up to $5,000 by our Giving Day champion Deron Waldock. Join us in welcoming more students to St. Jerome’s through Giving Day: https://heyor.ca/yZWuEo #StJeromesUniversity #GivingDay

💚 A huge thank you to all the students who participated in SJU Acts; together, we contributed over 250 volunteer hours to the Tiny Home Takeout garden, St. John's Kitchen, and Tiny Home Takeout from September to April! 💚We know that our regular volunteering has a huge impact on our partner organizations- helping them provide essential services for people who are struggling in our community. For our student volunteers, volunteering builds empathy, strengthens skills, and gives a chance to meaningfully contribute to the KW community. 🌱While we take a break from volunteering at St. John's Kitchen and Tiny Home Takeout in the spring, we will be supporting the Tiny Home Takeout garden. Stay tuned for more details!
