Actor @alejo_edda wearing the “Frida” cardigan a luxurious, hand-knit piece crafted from a blend of baby alpaca and merino wool, designed to be both cozy and elegant. Inspired by Frida Kahlo’s 1942 portrait of Lucha María, this cardigan reflects the warmth and artistry of traditional Mexican textures.
I developed this piece hand in hand with a second-generation master knitter from a family of artisans in Edomex. It has been a journey every drawing, stitch, pattern, swatch, conversation, commute to his town and material choice has shaped the process.
