There aren't many spaces where you can feel both the weight of a legacy and the urgency of the work still ahead. Last month, we got to experience one of those moments firsthand. Leaders, advocates and community members came together to honor the legacy of Professor Anita Hill and to celebrate the launch of The Anita Hill Scholarship Fund. Because this work does not stop at recognition. It continues through who gets supported, who gets access and who is able to step into these spaces next. The scholarship reflects a continued investment in the next generation of legal leaders committed to advancing democracy, civil rights and gender equity. We were honored to support the founders of the Anita Hill Scholarship Fund, some of Professor Hill's former students, in bringing this moment to life in her home state of Oklahoma. We're grateful to the sponsors and partners who made this gathering possible and to everyone who showed up, contributed and continues to invest in what this represents. 🔗 Learn more about the Anita Hill Scholarship Fund 📸 credits: @radlove.media

When you are the one responsible for every last thing in your business, it doesn’t take much for things to start feeling overwhelming. Sometimes it feels like adding someone else to the team will be the magic solution that gives you your time back and makes everything run smoother. But before you go posting that job description, make sure you have these 3 things in place: 👉 consistent revenue that can actually support another person 👉 repeatable tasks that already follow a process 👉 clear ownership of what this role would be responsible for If you do, you are in a solid place to start hiring. But if you don’t, we’ve got you covered too: ✨ track everything you did for one full week and highlight what you were repeatedly doing ✨ pick one of those tasks and write out the exact steps it takes so someone else could easily do it ✨ look at everything you’re responsible for and circle what actually leads to revenue vs what just keeps you busy If you're feeling the chaos from every which way, check out these 5 systems for a total shift:

We don’t talk enough about money as women, especially when it comes to real numbers, negotiations, or the moments we almost asked for more but held back. So we end up figuring it out alone, second-guessing ourselves in rooms we worked hard to get into. Brittany names something many founders quietly carry, the habit of negotiating against yourself before anyone else has the chance to respond. That doesn’t come from a lack of ability. It’s shaped by years of being told to stay agreeable, to keep things comfortable, to not take up more space than necessary. Normalizing these conversations shifts what feels possible. It can look like: 👉 saying your pricing out loud without softening it 👉 asking another founder how they approached a deal 👉 sharing a decision that didn’t work so someone else can learn from it 👉 practicing how you ask for more before you’re in a high-stakes moment Growth requires visibility. That includes being honest about money and clear about what you want to build. When these conversations happen more often, more of us move with clarity. We make stronger decisions. We start building in ways that reflect what we actually want. Where have you caught yourself negotiating against yourself lately?

How many points did you get? Did most of these sound familiar? This is the kind of outreach that shows up all the time when you run a business. And a lot of it doesn't sound bad... at first. Sometimes it's even well intentioned. But over time, this is how your time, energy, and bottom line start getting chipped away. Because most of the time, you don't even know what you're actually agreeing to. What sounds like?A quick ask turns into more time and more work than expected. And now you're the one deciding where the line is. This is your reminder to pause, on both sides of this conversation. When you reach out with a "quick ask," are you actually thinking about the time energy or cost behind what you're asking for? Because someone always ends up filling in those gaps.

Money habits are something many founders pick up without realizing it. You tell yourself you’ll look at the numbers later. You wait a little longer before raising your rates. You promise you’ll start paying yourself more consistently once things feel more stable. Most of the time these habits don’t come from a lack of discipline. They come from trying to keep the business moving while juggling everything else that comes with building something from scratch. Over time though, those patterns start shaping bigger decisions about pricing, expenses, and how confident you feel around your finances. This is a short list of money habits we’re working on leaving behind. 😮‍💨 Which habits are you leaving behind?
