A short glimpse of our Land Rover camper build! We spent a year and a half working hard to get Norbit ready to hit the roads 🔥 We’ve been on the roads for 4 months, the most part of our last month has been spent parked up with more repairs. Here’s to smooth sailing onwards #perentie #camper #travelaus #travel #overland #landrover #defender #catchmeifyoucan #norbit #adventure #defendercamper #campervans #homeonwheels

Get to know us ✨ Jaya, Tulli & Norbit - our 36 year old Land Rover Perentie 6x6. We began our travels around Australia in June this year - Chasing waves we headed south for the winter (brave we know) We love slow travel and going with the flow, spending our days surfing, hiking, fishing, immersed in any adventure thrown our way. It’s been a journey so far and we are so stoked to have you all along for the ride 💛

Is it a Landrover thing or is it because it’s a 36 year old car? The fun part of all these issues is that they have been happening since we hit the roads ⚙️ We have had to take the engine out twice, gear box once, all the tyres to do the brakes and the power steering! Love Norbit 💛 #catchmeifyoucan #mechanical #engine #gearbox #norbit #travel

Little Ukiyo 🌞 📍Up in the hills behind New Norfolk, Tasmania The perfect off grid forest getaway. We absolutely loved our stay at Tash & Josh’s cabin, the space they have created is truly special and relaxing. We watched a beautiful sunset over the valley for our first night, followed by an aurora & sky full of stars. So so grateful ✨💛 #tasmania #airbnb #stay #travelling #photo

A few little snaps from our time on the West Coast Of Tassie! A place that feels so raw & back in time. We kayaked to lovers falls at Corinna, VERY slowly drove Norbit up the western explorer, scored epic waves up the North West & did some roadside mechanics along the way. So grateful for our time spent here and missing it already 🌞 #westcoasttasmania #tasmania #surfing #travelling #loversfalls

Our day spent at Cradle Mountain What an incredible day this was, we started our hike with a stop off at the iconic boat shed & were in absolute awe of cradle mountain in the background, we could have easily sat there all day watching the mountain Following the edge of dove lake, we made our way towards the cradle summit. With no expectations or prior research, we were a little taken back with the rock scramble at the top (Jaya especially with a fear of heights). The views from the top were like no other! The reward at the end always makes it worth it 🔥 #tasmania #cradlemountain #summit #hiking #travel

Seaforth 🌞 A home away from home. Time spent together, connected, soaking up all of the comforts. Allowing us to be present through each moment, feeling relaxed and in awe of the nature surrounding us. Disconnecting from the outside world, Seaforth gave us the perfect little reset that we didn’t know we needed. #seaforth #airbnb #tasmania #travelaus #adventure

Moments of 2025 🌻 We spent the first half of the year at home, finishing Norbits setup, saving as much as we could, soaking up our last surfs at home and packing up all of our belongings! Tulli got her scuba divers certificate in that time while Jaya became all too familiar with Norbits quirks 🤪 We planned to leave in April after Tulli had recovered from surgery, but life happened and time flew by.. April turned into May, turned into June. We left home on the winter solstice - 21st of June. Slightly unprepared for the cold that winter would bring heading south. The south coast was so quiet and we soaked it all in, surfing waves to ourselves and making sure our hot water bottles were in the bed every night! Norbit had a few hiccups along the way until September came and we had to do a few major seals, which meant pulling the whole engine out, this lead to then pulling the gearbox out, with a dodgey part supplied failing in the gearbox we had to pull the engine a second time to replace the part.. missing our ferry to Tassie and being parked up in our legend mechanics driveway in Melbourne even longer. We spent around a month in Torquay, slowing down and surfing every day, we scored epic waves and spent time with incredible people Made it to Tassie on the 2nd of Nov and have been in awe every day, we’ve made lifelong friends, surfed, conquered day & overnight hikes, been surrounded by so much wildlife daily.. A summer filled with warm days, hot days, hail, snow, rain and gale force winds but we wouldn’t have it any other way! Here’s to one more month of wild adventures in Tassie before we make our way back to the mainland and through SA Big love to you all ✨💛 #travel #australia #2025 #adventure #lifestyle

Why do we hike? A question we often ask ourselves in the midst of the chaos 🤣 This beauty was a 3ish hour hike through rugged landscapes, incredible beaches and a whole lot of mud, all with our camping gear and surfboards.. We got a message from a friend inviting us to join their birthday celebration weekend, which happened to line up perfectly with Jaya’s pre birthday, of course we couldn’t say no! Blessed with rain, hail, sunshine, epic waves, new friends & some very sore bodies. Would we do it again? Absolutely. If you asked me on the return hike, absolutely not hahah 🔥 #tasmania #hiking #hikingtrail #camping #adventure
