Clinical Tip 🩺 During pregnancy, it is recommended that all pregnant women in Australia receive both the influenza (flu) and whooping cough (pertussis) vaccines. Vaccination during pregnancy can help protect both you and your baby, including during the first few months after birth. If you have any questions or concerns, speak with your pregnancy care provider to make informed decisions about your care 🤍 #StillAware #PregnancyCare #ClinicalTip #SafePregnancy #MaternalHealth #PregnancyAwareness

After learning her pregnancy was high risk, Elsie’s mum was encouraged to monitor her baby’s movements; something she had never heard of before. Each evening, she took time to count movements, finding reassurance and connection during an uncertain time. What started as a simple routine became a source of comfort, confidence, and control. At 38 weeks, just hours after completing her daily movement check, Elsie Ann was born. Small but healthy, and deeply loved. Today, her family believes that monitoring movements played an important role in her safe arrival, a reminder of why it’s so important to monitor your baby’s movements. A heartfelt thank you to @mayne.pharma.australia , one of Still Aware’s most generous supporters. It was so wonderful having your team with us as we packed our multicultural pregnancy packs in Arabic, Mandarin, and Vietnamese. We loved meeting the incredible people behind your organisation and working together to prepare nearly 10,000 pregnancy packs in just one morning. Thank you for your ongoing support and for helping us reach more families with important, life-saving information. #StillAware #MaynePharma #CommunityImpact #Gratitude #GivingBack #SaferPregnancy #PregnancySupport #MaternalHealth #StillbirthAwareness #HealthEquity #CALD #MulticulturalCare #CommunitySupport #MakingADifference #TogetherWeCan #Adelaide #SouthAustralia

Today, we remember and honour Frankie Marjorie Knox 🦋 Frankie was born sleeping at 36 weeks. She was active, responsive, and seemed to be thriving, making her sudden passing even more devastating and unexpected. In sharing Frankie’s story, her family continues to give a voice to her life while helping raise awareness around stillbirth and the importance of listening to mothers when something feels different. Forever loved. Forever remembered. Abbie and Micheal's story: /blogs/f3dd938e-2cb7-4fe4-9a73-c6624a9f8901 #StillAware #StoriesOfRemembrance #StillbirthAwareness #foreverloved

We are so extremely excited to announce that Still Aware has worked extensively with clinicians, cultural advisors, and communities across Australia to develop culturally and linguistically diverse Safe Pregnancy resources 🥳🥳   These packs are built on the same evidence-based, clinically validated information as our English Safe Pregnancy Packs, and have undergone a rigorous process including national clinical review, NAATI-accredited translation, community consultation, and re-verification by language-speaking clinicians and cultural advisors. Each resource has been carefully adapted to ensure it is not only accurate, but also culturally and linguistically appropriate for Arabic, Mandarin, and Vietnamese communities.   With the generous support of the South Australian Government, this initiative is helping ensure more families can access life-saving pregnancy information in a way that is clear, respectful, and relevant to their lived experience.   To order the packs or view them online please head to our website.

Clare Chambers is a passionate volunteer with Still Aware, inspired by her personal experience of loss and commitment to preventing stillbirth. In 2015, during her first pregnancy, Clare was told everything was progressing normally. At 34 weeks, after noticing changes in her baby’s movements, she relied on reassurance rather than her instincts. Tragically, her daughter Skye was stillborn on 9 May 2015. Now a dedicated Still Aware volunteer, Clare helps in raising awareness, supporting education sessions, and connecting with expectant families at PBC expos. She is driven by a simple goal: ensuring more families have access to life-saving information. Thank you, Clare, for your courage and for the important role you play in sharing this message. We love and appreciate you!
