Slightly overdue post - hyrox cardiff trained for 5 weeks and things were looking good then took a 2 week break for travel which completely cooked me. Simply didnt train enough. My fitness wasn’t on par with the goal we wanted but still got 5 mins faster than last time. felt a lot harder than last time. back to powerlifting full time for quite a significant time 👍 running maybe once in a while but prep for ST has started

Stopped coaching @vicenteortizf as my only client about 3 months ago but coached him for about a year so thought id make a post He already was quite strong and had a good foundation so just had to set a program and make some minor tweaks to technique went from feb 2025 185/115/240=540 ish to feb 2026 comp 220/130/260=610 with kilos in the tank for all lifts. Shoulder injury didnt help before the comp but was expecting about 137.5-140 if it didnt happen. A good 70 kilo atleast on the total over the year. least to say quite proud of him and myself lol. some difficulties learning to work around hamstring tendonitis but figured out a system in the end but was probably time he moved onto a new coach. i wanna take coaching slightly more seriously now so dm if interested :)

Bucs handling recap + mini spam @remy_morris_ handled a bit for ping, 7/9 good outcome @ping_hao_ng_2 bro gave me ranges and hit all the top ends and cleared everyone. goat fr 🥇🥇 9/9 @mayavlifts handled for @elenarlifts 9 for 9 with kilos for squat and bench. 😛😛 @dan_tamlyn.pl 😔😔5/9 he will be back tho @ram_lifts07 🥇🥇 learning how to handle from @charlietmoore i def have things to learn but 8/9 was sick BUCS 👍 incredibly long days but have to say was worth the fun hyrox then prep for ST starts

In Edinburgh for a couple days didnt expect 220@6 esp not training consistently and externals Gym had a posing room too pretty cool but it was legs bench still feels not ideal

Week 5 205 x3 paused top set 135/145/155 ascending 5s lost my balance top ascending 5. went on my toes and bailed the last rep. not ideal 😔. break for edinburgh, bucs handling and cardiff then back on for summer ST.

Physique update still fluffy 87-88 BW no pump we’ll see how switching up training treats the physique. probably not a big difference

Back to full power SBD 155/165/175 (+10 gym) 110/117.5/120x (-2.5 comp) 215/235/245x (+2.5 gym) 527.5 - 88.95 squat had kilos in the tank. 2 months in and very happy with it. Bench a bit disappointed but decent considering i had to change grip for the new rules. Thought 245 didnt get off the ground so i just gave up. mightve been there mightve not. gotta get used to sticking with a deadlift. got 527 from a 525-550 range so considering i didnt get below my range, went 7/9 and this is after ive been out for over a year im happy lol Thanks @finivory.pl for handling and @emmajaynegains for organising and everyone else for the support. @uoepowerlifting @ben.grant.1

1 week out SBD 165 (+2.5 ATPR) 117.5 (-2.5) 230 (-2.5) 512.5 Things are finally moving how i want them to. rushed the deadlift a bit but ended up alr Time to see where i land at comp. Feeling good about it @uoepowerlifting @eu.roguelifters @ben.grant.1
