Meet Coach Mike Owczarek 👏 ⠀ He is a former collegiate basketball player who picked up a Training Stick in 2019 and instantly fell in love with how he felt and what it meant. ⠀ Today, Mike is a Stick Mobility Level 2 Certified Coach, teaching group fitness classes and private sessions at Equinox Hudson Yards while also hosting Stick Mobility trainings and events throughout NYC and NJ. ⠀ Additional certifications include: • Animal Flow • Pre/Post Natal • PNL1 Nutrition • Pain-Free Performance ⠀ When asked about his favorite Stick Mobility movement, Mike says it’s tough to choose, but the Torso Twist is definitely up there 👀 ⠀ One of his favorite Stick Mobility memories? El rango articular (ROM) es la base anatómica y grado de libertad de movimiento que tiene una articulación🪢 Para un atleta, un rango restringido actúa como un “freno de mano” limitándo la fuerza, velocidad y todas las herramientas al momento de desarrollar un movimiento🔙 Cuando una articulación no tiene el rango necesario, el cuerpo “roba” movimiento de la articulación, como por ejemplo falta de movilidad de cadera que se traduce como hiper-compensación en la zona lumbar), lo que deriva en lesiones por sobrecarga❌ y de esta manera se manifiesta en todo el cuerpo ya que biológicamente somos/funcionamos como cadenas cinéticas 🌊 A diferencia de la flexibilidad siendo pasiva, la MOVILIDAD es activa Siendo la capacidad del atleta de alcanzar un rango de movimiento con fuerza, permitiendo que los músculos atraviesen un ciclo completo de estiramiento-acortamiento.
