New visual identity and website for architecture studio ThamVidegård. Since its foundation in 1999, the practice has been defined by iconic architecture that is distinctive, contextual and deeply considered. The rebrand brings the visual identity and digital home of ThamVidegård into closer alignment with the quality and character of the work itself. @thamvidegard Tid typeface by @lettersfromsweden & @stefaniamalmsten #architecture #visualidentity #website #stockholmdesignlab #design #branding #typography

To celebrate the opening of this year’s Venice Biennale, we’re looking back at one of our favourite projects. In 2009, we created the identity for La Biennale di Venezia, the world championship of contemporary art. The brief was deceptively simple: intelligence and impact, without overpowering the art. We kept coming back to flags. Deconstructing the flags of every participating nation into their raw elements, stripes, shapes and colours, gave us a stockpile of abstract but still (just) recognisable forms. Reassembled in unexpected combinations, they suggested new unities across catalogue covers, posters, signs and notebooks. Nations remixed. @labiennale @daniel.birnbaum The 61st Venice Biennale runs from 9 May to 22 November 2026. See the updated full case, link in the bio

For the Venice Biennale 2009 catalogue, 25 different screen printed covers with the deconstructed flags were printed on recycled grey paper. The flags appear also on tracing paper inside the book. Director Daniel Birnbaums - “Making Worlds” presented, apart from all participating countries, artists like André Cadere, Gilbert & George, Nathalie Djurberg, Gutai, Yoko Ono, Miranda July, Carsten Höller, Lygia Pape, Wolfgang Tillmans, Gordon Matta Clark, Philippe Parreno and Tomas Saraceno. The concept and inspiration for Making worlds was laid out on the floor in a large studio. An overall image was shot from above and then zoomed in and cropped for each page. Content ranging from Moderna Museet - Transform the world catalogue from 1969, Yoko Onos Instruction Pieces, Gutai images. Seth Price Dispersion, Aaltos Paimio No. 41 chair to Carsten Höller in real life. @labiennale @daniel.birnbaum @carsten.holler The 61st Venice Biennale runs from 9 May to 22 November 2026. Done in collaboration with 1:2:3; Axel von Friesen and Petter Törnqvist. See the updated full case, link in the bio

Familjen – på gott och ont / Family – for better or worse is now open at Sven-Harrys Konstmuseum in Stockholm. Spanning three centuries of art, from the late 1700’s to today, the exhibition explores the family in all its complexity: as foundation and fault line, as shelter and source of conflict. With 49 artists and 81 works, it’s a profound reflection on the relationships that shape us all, whether we choose them or not. The exhibition catalogue is also available at the museum. Designed as an unbound publication with loose sheets, each page functions as an individual poster. The sequence of spreads highlights contrasts and relationships between the artworks, reflecting how they are presented in the exhibition. A catalogue that extends the exhibition beyond the gallery space. Curated by Dragana Kusoffsky Maksimovic and Magnus af Petersens. On view 27 March – 13 September 2026. @svenharryskonstmuseum

Our work for Sigma wins the Golden Egg in the Packaging design category. The Golden Egg is Sweden’s oldest, largest and most prestigious award for the creative industry. The jury statement: “Can packaging speak? This one can. Quietly but clearly, in a language everyone understands. It speaks of the beauty and power of doing something as good as it can possibly be done. All the way. From the inside out. Without compromise and without smarmy superlatives. The conversation is over in an instant. Afterwards we know all we need to know. From now on, the contents get to speak for themselves.” @sigmaglobalvision #sigmaphoto #sigmaaizu #sigmajapan #stockholmdesignlab #guldägget
