A month ago, I got to work as a Lighting Director for an awards show. There can be a lot of pressure working on a live show, since you only get one chance to get it right, but it was a lot of fun!
@avalonhollywood was a FANTASTIC venue. They had plenty of fixtures to work with and their staff accommodated us in every way. But the real mvp was the Tech Team, who programmed the lights and video with zero pre-light days and a 1.5 hour rehearsal. I cannot speak anymore highly of them. They made us and everyone on stage look amazing. We wouldn’t have a show without them.
Lastly, congratulations to all the nominees and winners! It was surreal to see some of the actors and actresses that I’ve admired or would never have dreamt of meeting all under one building. Thanks for inspiring us!
