Poet âď¸Founder of The Gay Rub đłď¸âđ AnaĂŻs Nin Scholar đ Author of Outliving Michael & Quilt for David đ Canonized Saint Steven Reigns đ
My words projected onto Rockefeller Center for Jenny Holzer installation SPEECH ITSELF, honoring PENâs centennial. Seeing it in person meant everything to me!
When Board President @stevenreigns was in Paris, he scoured shops and flea markets for postcards from #Louveciennes, Ninâs home from 1930 - 1936. The train station one was such an exciting find, knowing she was there often, going to and fro to see #HenryMiller and be back in the city.
The end of April means the end of my billboard at @westhollywoodgateway I chose two lines from the first poem in my book. Itâs about when Michael was young, working as a bottle boy at Studio 54.

Queer culture is under attack every day and for almost 20 years I have been doing my little part to preserve, for prosperity, our queer heroes so their contributions will never be forgotten with an adventurous labor of love art project. The Gay Rub is a collection of rubbings of markers all over the world hat honor queer people and places in history.
I canât believe a project I created to educate about queer historic lives and locations is covered by media giant Forbes!!! Iâm grateful so many others will know about the project, LGBT people and places, and be inspired. Check it out! Gorgeous photo by Magnus Hasting
Fran: you have me on vinyl?
Me: yes, youâre not going to believe what else I have? (pulling out the 1981 issue of Interview Magazine with her on the cover.)
Fran: youâre way too young to be the original owner of this.
The night before my big reading at Stonewall Archives I saw my favorite commentator in West Palm Beach. Some people are Swifties, Phishheads, or Little MonstersâŚ. I guess I follow Fran Lebowitz around.
This was the first reading I gave where people in the audience knew Michael. Such a great event at @booksonthirdnaples Thank you to all those that came. An unexpected bonus for me was when people in the audience started sharing Michael stories and these two beautiful gifts given to me by Dorothy and Beverly. (slide 3)
The most delicious lemon celebration treat from a VERY unexpected source! @stevenreigns invited me and the lovely @laylabird93 over to his place to pay tribute to Sylvia Plath in an unusual way⌠through dessert! After having a weed drink, this made total sense and we made the most delicious lemon dessert Iâve ever had with fresh lemons from his tree in the backyard! #sylviaplath #dessert #lemondessert #literary #lgbtq
