I've been wanting to make a mograph loop for a little bit and finally had the perfect opportunity. So we have this thing called The Orb, it's our wonderful fidget spinner and it's ever so smooth if you haven't tried it. Rumour has it that pondering the orb as it spins seemingly forever unlocks secret areas of your brain to come up with your bestest ever ideas... Or you can just enjoy the mindless spinning ;)
I had a blast making this silly motion loop, and the sound design came out way better than I could have hoped!

Hi Viz came back for R2 and so I had to bring out this banger scene again 👀 Swipe for a mini shot breakdown and scene viewport!
You don't always need a big scene with lots of geometry to get the right mood across. This scene has nothing but two planes in it! Everything else is done with materials, atmosphere and compositing.
And just like before, I had to sneak in my own car's headlights for a bit of a personal touch ;)
